Horsell Residents' Association was formed in 1965 as a non-political group open to all adult residents of Horsell and is founded as a limited company, Horsell Residents Association Ltd with number 05377490. HRA became a registered charity in 2015 with charity number 1162487.

It is governed by a constitution and has an elected Committee of local people, a large membership which any Horsell resident aged 18 or over can join, and it issues a regular free magazine "The Resident" to every household in Horsell.

It exists as "the independent voice of Horsell" to:

promote, uphold and protect the interests of residents in all matters affecting or likely to affect Horsell and its environs.
bring to the notice of relevant authorities or bodies those matters affecting the interests of Horsell residents, and accordingly keep its members informed.
support and promote social and benevolent activities for the general benefit of Horsell residents, and fundraise in support of such activities.

Apart from the Editorial Committee it can set up other sub-committees that organise local projects. Currently active are sub-committees that run the annual Village Show and form the Planning Liaison team.   Also the Second Thursday Club meets monthly to start up and run new initiatives for the benefit of Horsell.

New members are always welcome, and in our rapidly changing modern society every member counts!
